Africa

1. On your blog post your reactions to what you read and what you saw. How about 3-4 sentences.
 - I thought that this article was really interesting. I also really liked the photos and how close up they were. I think it would be really cool to take pictures of things wild animals like that and to see them up close.
2. Do a google image search for , find your favorite photo and post it on your blog.

3. Describe it and tell me why its your favorite.
  - this is a photo of a bunch of giraffes walking and resting. I really like this photo because of the clouds and the sun shinning through. I also really like how he got multiple giraffes instead of just one.

4. What rules of photography are evident in the photos you selected, be sure to explain the rule to me?
  - In this photo some rules of photography that apply are simplicity, because the sky and the background are simple and aren't very complex, the rule of thirds also applies because the giraffe in the very front is in the 3rd column.
Do a google/wikipedia search for Nick Brandt

5. What kind of camera and lens does he use and why is this important?

 - He uses Pentax 67 with a short lense. This is important because he wants to get as much of the sky and landscape as he can.
6. What is his reason for taking these photos?

 - Nick Brandt took these photos because when he has always loved animals and when he came to Africa to direct one of the videos they made for Michael Jackson he fell in love with the place. He went back on a vacation and started taking his camera then.
7. What is his hope by taking these type of photos?

 - He is taking this photos to show what the world is like now and may never be again. He also wants to show the animals.
8. Find something he has to say about Africa, and post the quote on your blog.
, find your favorite photo and post it on your blog.
-"As for Africa, I went there in 1995 to direct one of the videos they did for Michael Jackson. And I absolutely fell in love with the place.  It was completely magic to me."
