Portfolio Analysis

a. Name of photographer -
     sam adams
b. General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)-

     people doing tricks on bikes and action photos
c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio -

     not telling a story
     people on bike not doing anything
     didn't get closer to the subject or cut out the cameras around him
d. List two things the judges like-
     silhouettes 
     the pictures that told a story and didn't have any telephone lines or "junk" in it.
e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?
     I think some of the photos were good but some of them weren't and I think that if the photographer told more of a story in his photos then it would have been better.

     People mostly kids
c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio -
    focus
    lighting
    took photos that have been taken before.
d. List two things the judges like-
    silhouettes 
    originality of some photose. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?
     I sort of liked some of the photos but I didn't like how they cut peoples heads off.

    Justin Mott
b. General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)-
    people struggling, people, black and white
c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio -
     some things weren't in focus that should have been
     using older tools
     cut someones head off.
d. List two things the judges like-
    tells a story
    has a point of viewe. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?
     I liked their pictures and how they told a story.

2. Watch the winning portfolio critique (Dustin Snipes), and post the following:

a. What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it?

     everyone was doing something and the photographer was right up in the picture(in the football huddle)
b. What do you see as strengths? Do you see any weaknesses?
     he was close to the subject and had good composition, I didn't like the photo with the arms framing the person behind hime because the person in front was really blurry.


3. Watch the contest recap video at the very bottom.

a. Briefly describe the process the judges went through in deciding the winner.

     They went through and looked at their favorites and decided which one had the best photos, composition, lighting, diversity, etc.
