Ansel Adams

Ansel Easton Adams was born February 20, 1902 in San Fransisco, California. He died when he was 82 on April 22, 1984 in Monterey, California due to heart failure. Ansel Adams went to school at Yale and Harvard University. When he was young he was tutored by his dad and his aunt. He received what he called the "legitimizing diploma" from the Mrs. Kate M. Wilkins Private School. This meant that he completed eighth grade. In his early life Ansel Adams got a job as a photo technician for a commercial firm, this job helped him learn more about his hobby. Ansel Adams later became a full time professional photographer. He met his wife through the Sierra Club. Her name was Virginia Best. they got married in 1928 and later had two children. Ansel Adams took pictures for books and wrote an autobiography that was finished shortly before his death.
