Academic Shoot and Reflection

Rule of Thirds

1. How well did you follow the rule?
 - I think I did okay on following the rules because I could have put the subject in the bottom or top of the photo instead of the middle.
2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?
  - The subject of this photo is the girl in the picture.
3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is?
  - I think it is clear what the subject is because it is the only girl in the photo.
4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently?
 - I could have put the subject in the bottom left or the top right instead of in the middle.
 Balance

1. How well did you follow the rule?
 - I think i followed the rule well because there are two people and they balance each other out.
2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?
 - The subject of this photo was the two people in the front working on their project.
3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is?
  - I think it is clear what the subject is because they are in the front and they are more clear than the other people.
4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently?
 - Something I could have done better was not cut the subjects arms off on the edges of the photo.
 Simplicity

1. How well did you follow the rule?
  - I think I followed the rule well I just had a little too much going on in the background.
2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?
  - The subject is the guy in the white shirt in the front of the photo.
3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is?
  - I think it is clear who the subject is because he is in the front of the photo and is in focus unlike the people in the back.
4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently?
 - Something I could have done differently to follow the rule would be to make sure that there is nothing in the background to make it simple.
 Lines

1. How well did you follow the rule?
  - I think I followed the rule pretty well.
2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?
  - The subject of the photo are the lines in the window.
3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is?
  - I don't think it is as clear as the other photos what the subject is is this photo.
4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently?
 - In this photo I could have focused a little more on the people in the back but keep focus on the lines also.
 Framing

1. How well did you follow the rule?
  - I don't think I followed the rule to well in this photo.
2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?
  - the subject is the guy sitting at the table in the white shirt with glasses framed by the pools in the background.
 3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is?
  - I don't think it is very clear who the subject is because there are two people and the subject isn't very close up.
4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently?
  - i could have made the frame more obvious.
Avoiding Mergers

1. How well did you follow the rule?
  - I didn't follow the rule very well because all of the people in the back, their heads are cut off.
2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?
  - The subject is the girl in the front int he pink shirt and purple pencil.
3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is?
  - I don't think it is very clear who the subject is because there are a lot of people in the back.
4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently?
 - I could have made it to where the people in the backs head weren't cut off.

  1. I really liked your photos!! Especially your framing picture. The colors of the frame made the inside of the picture pop. I believe you should work on simplicity. The guy in the background distracted me form the boy working. But good job over all!

  2. I enjoyed the simpleness of all your photos. I also like how not all your photos are up close on peoples faces.
